Do you think Senator David Bushby's "meowing" to Finance Minister Penny Wong was a sexist remark?

I don't think that the remark was sexist, but I think that he definitely needed to apologise. It is painfully irritating when a grown man responds in argument with a 'meowing' noise. It's childish, it's dumb and it's unnecessary. If I'm having an argument with a man and he does the 'meow', it tells me that he's still a little boy in a man's body and he doesn't like having a female out-smart him. Penny Wong backed herself up, so it's unfair to assume that she was being too precious and thin skinned. It's politics, not the school yard. If Bushby wants to play those games, he should consider a career as a bar tender or perhaps a strip club owner.
