My ipod please help, i have a 3rd generation shuffle?

i have a 3rd generation ipod Shuffle and the BATTERY keeps dying faster than it use too. That and it wont charge, only sometimes if i get really Lucky, i also seen it happen with my my ipod but it's only the BATTERY dying part hers chargers fine, is their something Wong with my ipod???
